Crystallization is a method of polishing marble (and other limestone) and in the case of our company is carried out wet (using water). It consists in changing the surface structure of the stone, using natural acids (oxalates).
Crystallization involves the action of oxalates on calcium silicates contained in the stone. The result is the process of crystallization of silicates and creation of calcium crystals on the marble surface. They are hard, and therefore resistant to abrasion, and at the same time create a shiny and non-slip surface.
Crystallization takes place using a light polishing machine with a delicate cotton pad attached.
